Koskisen Plywood is a presurfaced multi-purpose plywood developed for industrial use.

Architects and designers have had great success using KOSKISEN PLYWOOD for interior panels, furniture, shelving, office workstations, and cabinetry.

KOSKISEN PLYWOOD panels are presurfaced on both sides with a smooth colored translucent film. KOSKISEN PLYWOOD is available in seven colors: light brown, black, clear transparent, green, red, yellow, and dark brown.

The natural wood grain is visible through the translucent color surface making each panel unique. KOSKISEN PLYWOOD is a natural material, with variations in color, grain, and tone. Individual panels may vary in the luster or matte character of their finish, imbuing each panel with a unique depth of tone. Lighter colors reveal more of the natural characteristics of wood. All colors may deepen with age.

FINLAND COLOR PLYWOOD CORPORATION imports this unique product directly from Europe. Birch plywood is renowned for its consistent HIGH QUALITY and UNCOMMON STRENGTH.

KOSKISEN PLYWOOD is constructed of 1.5mm Finland birch hardwood veneers. This construction provides superior strength and density.

KOSKISEN PLYWOOD is presurfaced and ready to use, eliminating the need for most finishing techniques.

The PREFINISHED SURFACE is smooth, nontoxic, durable, and easy to maintain. The surface is highly resistant to stains and abrasion, making it an ideal material for many uses. Although KOSKISEN PLYWOOD is a multiple use material, it is not intended for exterior use.

KOSKISEN PLYWOOD is available in a panel size of 96” x 48” (short-grain, spliced face) and in thicknesses of 12mm (9-ply) and 18mm (13-ply).

GRADES OF FINNISH BIRCH FACE VENEERS

BU - Pin knots permitted. Other knots and holes permitted up to 6mm diameter, limited to a cumulative diameter of 12mm per m2. Closed splits and checks permitted up to an individual length of 100mm and one per metre of panel width. Slight discoloration and streaks permitted. Other defects strictly limited, with attempts to unite for color and grain.

S - Pin knots permitted. Sound intergrown knots permitted up to an individual diameter of 20mm, limited to cumulative diameter of 50mm per m2. Other knots and repaired holes permitted up to 10mm diameter, limited to a cumulative diameter of 25mm per m2. Repaired splits and checks up to 2mm width, length 200mm limited to one per metre of panel width. Closed splits and checks permitted up to 200mm length and two per metre of panel width. Discoloration and colored streaks permitted. One wooden patch/m2 permitted.

BB - Pin Knots permitted. Sound knots permitted up to 25mm diameter, limited to a cumulative diameter of 60mm per m2. Other knots and holes permitted up to 6mm diameter, limited to a cumulative diameter of 25mm per m2. Open Splits and checks, repaired, permitted up to 2mm wide and 200mm long not exceeding 1 per metre of panel width. Discoloration, roughness and sanding through permitted if all slight. Wooden patches permitted up to 3% of area, with attempts to limit patches. Glue penetration limited to 5% of panel surface.
