Parklex 500

Natural timber panels for interior ceilings and walls impregnated in amino-plastic resins. Parklex 500 is a panel manufactured from 100% natural wood fibres, whose surface is impregnated in thermosetting resins with the exclusive Gureprex, system and compressed under high pressure and temperatures.

Parklex 500 is designed for installation to interior ceilings and walls, with a wide variety of applications such as private and public buildings, including those with strict demands with regard to sound absorption (conference halls, concert halls, auditoriums, offices, etc). Furniture can also be made from the panels, without the requirement for additional finishing (varnish, lacquers etc).

It is also possible to combine the aesthetics of wood with the quality and shine of metal (copper, aluminium or stainless steel) by using our stratification technology. In this way we can provide a wide range of interior decoration products.

Parklex Acoustic 500 has been designed for application to interior walls and ceilings that require high levels of sound absorption.

The fact that it can be machined in various shapes and sizes enables us to achieve the specific sound absorption levels that are required on each individual product.

PANEL DIMENSIONS
2440mm x 1220mm x 8, 11, 14, 20 mm

All of the Parklex products, including P700 and P500 are natural wood products, so they will expand and contract after installation. The manufacturing process is made with both faces of the panel equally balanced, so that this movement will be equal on both faces of the panel. In order to keep the balance, both faces must have the same temperature and humidity conditions. Therefore, there must be a ventilated air chamber (with openings at the top and at the bottom) behind the panels.  Although the internal humidity and temperature are stable, if the panel is directly attached to the wall, the humidity may not be the same for both faces, so the panel may bend.

The airspace required in interior environments is 10mm (3/8"), but will depend on the height of the wall. This airspace is enough for normal internal heights up to 3-4m (10'-13').  For higher elevations, it is recommended to leave a greater airspace.
